Week 26: Krueger Child Care Center
In August 2011, Marquette University’s Child Care Center moved to its new location at the northeast corner of 19th and Clybourn Streets. The two-level structure underwent a $2 million renovation to create 11 classsrooms that now accommodate 140 children.
The Krueger Child Care Center opened in 1989 at its previous location on North 17th Street. The building is named for William A. Krueger, a Milwaukee printing executive, and his wife Evelyn, who took classes in creative writing and French at Marquette.
