I stole the name postmarq. Again.
This blog’s name, postmarq, is 100% recycled. I encountered Postmarq in 1992 as part of my first job, writing stories for Marquette University. Postmarq was the name of the letters to the editor section in Marquette Magazine, the university quarterly. The section name eventually switched to “Letters to the Editor.”
Still, Postmarq stuck with me, even after I transferred to Marquette’s IT Services in 1996. When the university’s first web-based email system needed a name, I suggested PostMarq Mail.

See how I cleverly capitalized the letter “M” in PostMarq and added the word “Mail” in the login screen I designed? Sheer originality on my part. But PostMarq Mail did not survive; eMarq took its place in fall 2002.
Now postmarq is back — all lowercase this time — to share new things and revisit old stuff about Marquette University.
